Alvechurch Village Hall, Bear Hill

[Alvechurch Village Hall]

The Village Hall is on Bear Hill in the centre of the village and is heavily used for a wide variety of activities from playgroups to dog training. The weathervane on the cupola is a replica of the hall itself.

The double doors at the uphill end of the hall lead to the main hall with a stage and kitchen. The smaller door in the gable on the right leads to the Committee Room and another small kitchen.

There is only a limited amount of parking in front of the hall but there is a large free public car park off Tanyard Lane behind it. The hall's postcode is B48 7JX but this will take you to the front door of the hall on Bear Hill. If you are following a SatNav then go to B48 7LN which will lead you to Tanyard Lane where the entry to the car park is opposite the site of the old school. If you walk out of the car park past the toilet block then you will find yourself behind the hall and you can walk through the path to reach the main doors. There are plans to redevelop the school site by the car park so you may one day see houses there instead of a wasteland.

Alvechurch Data have no connection with the village hall but this photograph attracts a lot of hits from people searching the Internet. There are more details about booking the hall on this web page for Alvechurch Village Hall.
